From 8-bit curiosity to pragmatic AI workflows

Our fascination with IT started in the 1980s with Sinclair, Commodore 64, Amiga and the first AT PCs. In the early 2000s we met during our software engineering studies, sharing one core belief: technology should be precise, stable, meaningful and practically useful.

After years in industry projects and product development, we founded contexagon GmbH in September 2014 in Kreuzlingen. Since then, we have built our own products and supported organizations across industries with a simple promise: less paradigm theater, more measurable impact.

Sascha P. Lorenz, M.Sc.

Co-Founder · Software Architect / Engineering Lead

Sascha brings more than two decades of experience in software engineering, software architecture and data-driven systems - from quantitative rating systems and automated trading pipelines to big data analytics and machine learning/AI systems. He has led engineering teams and, as Dev Lead and software engineer in mandates, delivered complex systems. Today, his focus is on robust backend architecture, AI/machine learning and scalable data analysis and integration - pragmatic, maintainable and operation-aware.

Maurizio Tidei, M.Sc.

Co-Founder · Software Architect / Engineering Lead

Maurizio combines deep engineering craft with entrepreneurship: from early data-cleaning and algorithm projects through large system migrations (C++ to Java) to building a platform used by hundreds of online marketing agencies to analyze website networks and search visibility. Since 2014 he has shaped contexagon with context-sensitive approaches and modern web/backend development. Today, he is a team lead and software architect in a Swiss healthtech company and helps organizations make complex systems more stable, efficient and sustainably maintainable.
